A Different Comedy World!

Laughter Is The Best Medicine

More important than anything else is the health and safety of every single person on the planet. And a big thank you to the front line workers in this fight against Covid-19

We have gotten through March, April, and May. June is going to be an extremely interesting month worldwide. Country’s and cities are loosening the strangle hold on their economies. The world will find out what a Post Covid-19 society looks like. Fasten your seat belts folks and get ready for the ride of your life.

So, what is next for the entertainment industry globally? I wish I had a crystal ball to predict the answer to this question. Or a dollar for every time I have been asked this question over the last 2 1/2 months.

There have been a couple of articles about drive in movie theatres making a comeback. In Canada there are currently 16 operating drive-in movie theaters located in Ontario province. Ontario drive-ins account for almost half of the 37 remaining drive-in theaters in all of Canada.

In the United States there are 306 drive-in theaters in the with only about 50 opened at this time. Many are permanently closed but remain standing and could potentially be re-opened at some point in the future. At their peak, in the late 1950’s, the United States had about 4,000 drive-in theaters.
