Another Comedy Spotlight Coming Soon

Another Year: Happy Holidays

Our 20th year starts Dec. 31, 2020, and what a year it has been!! I would personally like to thank everyone who is on, everyone who visits The Comedy Green Room, and everyone who tells others about The Comedy Green Room will continue to strive to be: A Comprehensive guide to Local, National, & International Comedy” The largest independently run comedy resource in the world.

New Year’s Eve 2000 without a gig and my girlfriend at the time out of town, I had just finished an HTML course at Community College. I registered the name and started to play around with the HTML. Put two stand-up comics on the website, The Fabulous Kenny Robinson and Ruby. A pretty basic website to say the least!

Twenty years later, and I never imagined the impact my little website would have on the international comedy community. I have stood by the philosophy of promoting stand-up comedy for the love of stand-up comedy. The website has proven stars on the site as well as unknown comics. And some of the known comics 20 years ago are now household names.

Laughter Is The Best Medicine

More important than anything else is the health and safety of every single person on the planet. And a big thank you to the frontline workers in this fight against Covid-19

Going into the New Year we have no idea what lies ahead for the business of comedy or show business in general. To say the least it is a stressful time for entertainers. We live to perform and perform to live!

This is the longest most of us have been off stage in our careers and it is an adjustment. I been using some strategies to help deal with “Pandemic Fatigue” and the new world of show business.

Newsletter Page 3

1. Be Kind to Yourself and Others – none of us are exempt from Covid-19. We should find some happiness everyday no matter how big or small. When dealing with others remember we are all in the same boat.

2. Stay healthy – Get enough sleep, exercise, and stay connected to family and friends as this helps reduce stress and anxiety.

3. Social Media Balance- Keep informed but take a break from social media and the news. It is a must to know what is going on but being a doomsday person who spends all their time focusing on Covid-19 is unhealthy both physically and mentally.

4. Risk and Benefits- Before you do anything that maybe Covid-19 dangerous think about the specific behaviour and how it directly affects your risk of being infected and your chance of spreading the infection to others.

I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on television. These are some common-sense things I am doing to deal with not being able to perform and hang out with my Stand-Up Comedy friends.
