If you are a fan of “That Canadian Guy” Mr. Glen Foster, as I am, then you will enjoy his latest album. People who have never heard of this veteran Canadian Comic should check it out and see what you are missing.
As usual laid back easy going everyman style hits the mark with strong writing. I was pleasantly surprised that unchecked was less political and more personal take on his view of life.
Unchecked runs just over 50 minutes with each bit standing on its own merit yet the theme is strong, and the call backs are well placed and perfectly timed. Glen moves swiftly from topic to topic; the 50 minutes flew by.
Unchecked was recorded at Absolute Comedy in Toronto in January 2020. Glen has the unique ability provoke the crowd, raise the tension during sensitive topics, and keep the crowd on his side. Unchecked is a perfect example of funny smart clean comedy with only one F-bomb. And yet it has an amount of well-placed bite and just the right level of self-deprecation. Young comics should listen to Unchecked to understand how to do an entertaining heading club set.

A New Version Of The Comedy Green Room!

More important than anything else is the health and safety of every single person on the planet. And a big thank you to the frontline workers in this fight against Covid-19
The Comedy Green Room was launched on December 31, 2000, I cannot believe that 20 years have passed in a blink of an eye. We have had three designs in of the website throughout the years.
Thank you to Irish Comedian Donal Norton for designing our first logo.
I must thank Ms. Trish Keenan for taking my initial idea, a barebones website, and designing the second version. And our second logo.
Next Ms. Skylar Hart, a talented multimedia expert, redesigned The Comedy Green Room to reflect the importance of Social Media marketing and blog writing. Thank you, Skylar, for continues support and valuable advice.
Ms. Jordyn Leigh, a talented graphic designer and artist, came up with the latest logos. Thank you, Jordyn, for the logos and I cannot wait to see what you come up with next.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Comedy Green Room, I took on the task of redesigning the site. With Ms. Skylar Hart’s guidance, I started from scratch to make the site more user friendly. The goal was to increase the blog visibility. Have more followers submit articles and add “Comedy Tips” to our resources.

I never imagined the impact my little website would have on the international comedy community. I have stood by the philosophy of promoting stand-up comedy for the love of stand-up comedy. The website has proven stars on the site as well as unknown comics. And some of the known comics ten years ago are now household names.
