Another "Comedy Spotlight" Coming Soon!

Darryl Lennox

On Sunday April 16th, Canadian Comedy Icon Mr. Darryl Lennox passed away suddenly in Vancouver BC.

A Note from Darryl's Family:

Dear friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved brother, Darryl Lenox. He passed away on April 16, 2023 shortly after noon at Vancouver General Hospital due to a devastating aortic dissection (aneurysm of the aorta).

Darryl was not only an incredibly talented comedian, but he was also a deeply caring and compassionate person. He was a beloved brother, son, uncle, and friend, and his loss has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. He was the best brother we could have asked for. His humor and kindness touched the lives of so many, and we are grateful for the time we had with him.

Darryl had an impressive career as a comedian, with performances that spanned the globe. He performed at top comedy clubs and festivals in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and many other countries and he also appeared on several television shows, including The Conan O'Brien Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Comedy Central Presents.

Darryl loved people and he loved comedy. In his words “we need to laugh, we need people who make us laugh and we need to care even if its expensive”.

At this difficult time, we ask for your thoughts and prayers as we mourn the loss of our only brother.

We will be sharing information about memorial or tribute events as they become available.

Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time.

David Reuben, the author, is devastated to hear about the passing of Darryl Lenox I did not know him well, but many of my friends did and spoke so highly of him both on and off stage.

Every time another person in the comedy world passes away it breaks another piece off my heart.

My condolences to his family and friends

RIP Sir

I first met Paul Adams through his father, comedy writer Charlie Adams. Charlie was the first UK comic on The Comedy Green Room. Charlie suggested I check out his son, stand-up comic Paul Adams.

We hit it off and Paul was invited to perform at The HogTown Comedy Festival (TM) in Toronto ON Canada. Paul decided to move to Toronto and performed in comedy clubs and bars throughout Canada and the USA for about 2 years. Paul's clean and funny comedy style was a refreshing change to the Toronto Comedy Community from 2004 to 2006.

Mr. Paul Adams new book Diary of a Locked Down Comedian is a funny, charming, and insightful look into his pandemic experience. Check it out!
